Game Rules
1. Each team will have an opportunity from the 10 yard line to either score a touchdown or kick a field goal.
2. Team one will be the home team and team two will be the visiting team.
3. The head coach for each team will be asked to choose a number. Random roll on the Alexa device. The closest one will then have the chance to choose heads or tails for the coin flip to start the game.
4. The ball will be placed on the ten yard line and each team will get four chances to either score a touchdown or kick a field goal. If a touchdown is scored another question will be given to that team and if correctly answered, they will get the extra point. They can also choose to go for a 2 point conversion after a touchdown has been scored. If they choose to go for 2, then two questions will have to be answered correctly. If neither question is answered correctly, then only six points will be awarded for the touchdown.
5. If the team does not think they can score a touchdown in the four questions asked, they can choose to kick a field goal. If this option is chosen, a question will be asked. If answered correctly, the field goal will be good. If answered incorrectly, the field goal is no good.
6. When starting from the ten yard line, questions will start. Just like in football, start off with first down. If the question is answered correctly, the team will get a chance to run a play. The plays will consist of the yardages from one through ten, incomplete pass, fumble, interception and sacked for a five yard loss.
7. For instance, if the first question is correct and the play has been played, if it lands on yardage gain of eight yards, then the ball will be placed on the two yard line and it is second down. Beware of the fumble, interception options.
8. If it is second, third or fourth down and the team answers the question correctly, when the play is played, if it lands on a yardage number that is more than what they need they have found the end zone and a touchdown will be awarded. For example, if the ball is on the four yard line and after the play, it lands on yardage gain of four or more, then they have found the end zone.
9. If the play lands on fumble or interception, the team automatically forfeits the ball over to the other team and the other team will take the ball over on their own 10 yard line.
10. The game will be played just like a regular football game. It will progress same as possessions in a game.
Scoring will be as follows:
Six points for a touchdown,
One point for extra points,
Two points for a 2 point conversion and
Three points for field goals.
